The dog days of summer are upon us. Just a few more precious weeks to enjoy before we dive into the chaos of fall. Here's what I have on my "to-do" list for the month of August:
~ Get a hair cut.
~ Re-read and old book.
~ Have a lemonade stand with my girls.
~ Freshen up my wardrobe.
~ Take a week off from...something.
~ Float in an innertube.
~ Wake up early and watch the sunrise.
~ Catch fireflies.
~ Pick tomatoes.
~ Sit back, put my feet up and listen to some good music.
Below are my music picks for this month. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Float on!
SONG:
Jukebox Dream - The Rebel Light
*Picture yourself on the beach in California as you let this one sink in.
ALBUM:
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes - Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes
*Give yourself time to play this one through from start to finish so can truly appreciate the story.
They sounds like some great goals.
ReplyDeleteI esp like "float in an inner tube" that one sounds delightful.
I'm really liking the rebel light song, it's very retro \ beach boys like.
i just found your blog this morning. i love music and running also. and the fact that you have ESMZ as your album of the month has totally roped me in! i can't wait to read on.
ReplyDeleteFantastic. So glad you found it. Pls keep sharing your favorites. I am always seeking out new and different music for both running and listening. And, yes, I love Edward Sharpe. Can't stop listening to this new album. I get an extra skip in my step when "In the Lion" comes on. So damn good.
