The Vivs

There is this woman whose kids go to the same school as mine and she walks through the halls exuding coolness. This year, my daughter is in her son's classroom, so I finally had a legitimate excuse to strike up a conversation. Imagine my surprise and excitement when I found out she is a bona vide rock star. The sound of her band, the Vivs, has a taste of pop/rock mixed with a bit of punk. Karen Harris, the band's lead singer, has this unique, dark, yet feminine voice that hooks you in right from the start. I was lucky enough to get some cds from Karen herself and I took some time to explore their sound. I highly recommend you do the same.
