ABOUT ME

My name is Rebecca Trachsel (aka Trax). I'm a mother of 2 girls, a Masters runner (age 45), a coach and an avid music fan.  I've been running since I was in 5th grade & started doing marathons after my 2nd daughter was born in 2007.  I've always loved listening, seeing, & training and racing with music, hence RUNNING WITH MUSIC.  In the fall, I coach XC & track at Lexington High School in MA.  Year round, I am a coach with 2L Coaching for distance runners of all levels. I'm proud to run with JAYBIRDSPORT, NUUNOISELLE,   HONEYSTINGER,  RUNANGEL,  &  SQUIRRELS NUT BUTTER. & ATHLETIC BREWING COI created this blog to tell my stories of running, music & anything else that might be worth sharing.  Thanks for following along.

  1. Hello, a guy is releasing music he wrote in the 70s that was used by the East German Olympians
to train. It's interesting stuff. Enjoy.

    Hello Rebecca,
Just a quick message to ask if you would be interested in a ‘mutual’ following on twitter that will benefit you. (#FYI I do RT’s ‘Anytime’ for all #Triathletes #Cyclists #UltraRunners #Marathoners #FitnessProfessionals who follow me on Twitter and have something important they want mentioned for support…Over 41K folks at your access...) I am currently following you now and am awaiting your follow-back...

All the very best to you & your family for the rest of 2013 & beyond Rebecca. Look forward to hearing from you…

(PS. Rebecca, should you follow back, I'll be mentioning you in my #FollowFriday #Shoutouts this Friday...)

  5. I hope you're not running with music to the exclusion of the surrounding stimuli. That could be dangerous for both yourself and for others.
